We presented our multi-sensor monitoring of Pilbara bat species of conservation significance at the 20th International Bat Research Conference in Cairns.
The International Bat Research Conference brings the global bat research community together every few years. The 20th was held in Cairns, drawing more than 400 researchers and conservationists.
We presented work on continuously monitoring Pilbara bat species of conservation significance using several sensor systems together — acoustics, video, and environmental context — and what it takes to turn that data into evidence a regulator can act on.
