Projects
Where the systems have been deployed, and what each project set out to measure.
NSW Flight Track Analysis
Thermal-video flight-track analysis of bats and birds at two Pilliga sites in central NSW, February 2026. The work used automated tracking and classification of free-flying wildlife approaching a helikite-mounted thermal camera array for Renewables Environmental Research Initiative (RERI) collision-risk research.
Pilbara Flight Track Analysis
Thermal-video flight-track analysis at Coppin's Gap in the Pilbara, December 2025, surveying for threatened cave bats including Ghost Bat and Pilbara Leaf-nosed Bat. The tracked bats approaching the helikite-mounted thermal cameras in this footage were emballonurid and molossid microbats.
Pilbara Wildlife Monitoring
Thermal-video field recording from Pilbara wildlife monitoring, showing animal behaviour captured by Supersensory camera systems.
Wind Turbine Flight Tracking
Thermal-video flight tracking of bats around an operating wind turbine, tracking individual animals through blade occlusions.
